Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Designing Mold and Creating 3D CAD Model and 2d Engineering Drawings as per Entegris Mold Quote Sheet.
- To creates a preliminary tool design layout. Conducts Design review with Tooling Liaison, Mold Maker,and Process Engineer & Project Engineer. Issue Purchase Orders to purchasing department for the Tools and Components.
- To attend mold test and verify manufacturing samples. Discuss with Engineering Team for tool improvement or tool modification. When productions ready all applicable molds, drawing/ documents are to be updated by Tool Designer.
- Maintains a global database of approved tooling design and SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Consults with internal customers and tooling Liaison to conducts Tool Design review by filling out the Entegris “Design Review Checklist”. Tool Designer Incorporates any changes requested, and agreed to, by the Product Development Team into the final tool design layout and conducts a final design review.
- Prepares Tooling drawing and released to the shop floor for the tool build. Communicates and assist Mold Maker and CNC Programmers on tool build and technical issue. Activities associated with Tool Design to ensure that tools are manufactureables in terms of lead-time, quality, and cost.
- Adhere to all safety procedures including wearing all required protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep work area clean of debris.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
